Job Description Rixos Phu Quoc is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Sommelier to join our Food & Beverage team. This role is responsible for curating and managing the resort’s wine experience while supporting the delivery of exceptional dining moments for our guests. The Sommelier plays an important role in elevating the overall guest journey through expert wine recommendations, strong product knowledge, and attentive service. The Sommelier is responsible for maintaining and developing the resort’s wine programme, ensuring the wine list reflects both international standards and the dining concepts within the resort. You will guide guests through the wine selection process, offering thoughtful recommendations that complement menu offerings and enhance the overall dining experience. Providing engaging wine service and sharing knowledge in an approachable and professional manner is a key part of the role. Working closely with the Food & Beverage leadership team, the Sommelier will ensure proper storage, handling, and service of wines while maintaining the highest standards of presentation and quality. The role includes monitoring wine inventory, managing stock levels, and supporting purchasing decisions to ensure the wine cellar remains well balanced and aligned with guest preferences and dining concepts. The Sommelier also supports the training and development of the restaurant team by sharing wine knowledge, service techniques, and pairing recommendations to help build confidence across the team. Staying informed about new wines, emerging regions, and industry trends is essential in maintaining a dynamic and engaging wine offering for guests. Qualifications The successful candidate will bring strong wine knowledge, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to create memorable guest experiences through thoughtful wine service. Professional presentation, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with the wider Food & Beverage team are essential for success in this role at Rixos Phu Quoc.
