OVERVIEW

We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Sommelier to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of wines and beverages, along with exceptional customer service skills. As a Sommelier, you will enhance the dining experience by providing expert wine recommendations and ensuring that our guests receive top-notch service in a vibrant restaurant environment.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous restaurant experience is essential, with a strong background in food service preferred.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills, showcasing the ability to interact positively with guests.
  • Experience in serving food and beverages, along with knowledge of meal preparation techniques.
  • Familiarity with cash handling procedures and proficiency in using Micros POS systems is advantageous.
  • A passion for wines and beverages, along with relevant certifications or training as a Sommelier is a plus. Join us in creating memorable dining experiences through exceptional wine knowledge and outstanding service!
    Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
    Pay: $17.85-$22.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

Responsibilities
  • Curate and maintain an extensive wine list that complements the restaurant’s menu.
  • Provide personalized wine recommendations to guests based on their preferences and meal choices.
  • Conduct wine tastings and educate staff on wine selections and pairings.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service during meal preparation and serving.
  • Manage inventory of wines, including ordering, receiving, and organizing stock.
  • Ensure compliance with food handling and safety regulations throughout the restaurant.
  • Assist with cashiering duties, including cash handling and processing payments through Micros POS systems.
  • Foster a welcoming atmosphere by engaging with guests and providing exceptional customer service.
