Farnoosh Music Academy is seeking a passionate and creative Songwriting Instructor to lead our new Intro to Songwriting Program for students of all ages—primarily beginners with little to no prior experience. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire new musicians and guide them through the fundamentals of songwriting in a supportive and creative environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong background in songwriting and music composition
• Teaching experience (formal or informal) preferred
• Ability to work with beginners and adapt teaching styles to different learning needs
• Knowledge of contemporary music styles and songwriting tools (instruments, DAWs, etc.)
• Excellent communication, patience, and organizational skills
• Ability to play at least one instrument (piano or guitar preferred)
• Degree in music or equivalent professional experience is a plus

• Teach weekly group or private songwriting lessons
• Introduce students to basic music theory, song structure, lyric writing, melody, and rhythm
• Create a fun, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
• Provide constructive feedback and support students in developing original material
• Collaborate with the academy team on curriculum planning and student showcases
• Maintain clear communication with students and parents (if applicable)
