Rates shown are at the Sonographer Adv. level. Responsibilities: Assist with the training of staff and student sonographers. Conveys results to patients and ordering clinicians where appropriate and when given permission by attending physician. Demonstrates the ability to function independently, and is able to cover off shifts, on-call responsibilities, and perform services at satellite facilities, where applicable, while continually communicating with lead and management team. Exhibits advanced level of knowledge related to normal anatomy and pathology. Able to recognize pathology and the ability to think critically, assessing the patient results for communication with the physician. Participates in standardization activities with system-level workgroups. Performs all job responsibilities of Level I Sonographer. Performs or assists Clinical Specialist in performing QA, regulatory testing, and other technical and research initiatives. Works directly with Radiologists regarding protocol development. Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors. Performs other duties as assigned. Sonographer Adv.: Completion of formal training in an Ultrasound program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) is required. 2 years of ultrasound experience required Performance review consistent with minimum of strong/ Solid performance on last performance review. Sonographer Specialist: Completion a formal training in an Ultrasound program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) required. 3 years of ultrasound experience required. Level II Advanced Sonographer required. Performance review consistent with minimum of strong/Solid performance on last performance review. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
