Apply now for this Sonographer opening! 10 Hour Shifts, 4 Days Per Week Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Call Rotation Required (1 night per week & every 5th weekend) Holiday Rotation Required Overview Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital proudly serves the health care needs of families in St. Charles, Lincoln and Warren counties. The 102-bed community hospital provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services including the Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital, the Breast Health and Women’s Center, the Cardiology Center, the Neurosurgery Center and the Outpatient Surgery and Endoscopy Center. Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital is an Accredited Chest Pain Center and carries a Level II stroke certification. Additionally, the hospital’s medical office building houses offices for specialists in primary care, cardiology, obstetrics, dermatology, surgery and pulmonology. Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital also offers outpatient services including physical therapy, a sleep lab, and cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation. Imaging Services department provides the following services: General, Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology, Digital Mammography, CT Scan, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, PET/CT Scan Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose The Registered Diagnostic Sonographer performs ultrasound imaging, including but not limited to abdominal, small parts, and obstetrical, to adult and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders, and assist with needle procedures (i.e., biopsies, drainages, needle placements, etc.). May also perform vascular imaging Responsibilities Ensures proper function and readiness of all equipment. Performs ultrasound imaging examinations and ensures proper documentation of procedures. Performs studies independently, may perform studies on-call, portable exams, and at other sites as required by work area. Minimum Requirements Education Associate or Trade School Equi Experience No Experience Supervisor Experience No Experience Licenses & Certifications RDMS or equiv Preferred Requirements Experience
Responsibilities
The Sonographer performs diagnostic ultrasound imaging for adult and pediatric patients to identify anatomic and physiologic disorders. They are also responsible for assisting with needle procedures and ensuring the proper function of imaging equipment.
