Description Status: Full Time Sonographer – Cary Medical Center Join our award-winning Radiology team! We’re seeking a skilled and compassionate Sonographer to perform high-quality Ultrasound procedures for both inpatients and outpatients. You’ll focus on delivering exceptional imaging results while ensuring outstanding customer service and patient safety. Essential Job Duties: Completes ultrasound procedures following departmental protocols Confidently explains ultrasound procedures to patients Accurately and consistently completes required ultrasound paperwork Assists the Front Office staff in insuring orders for ultrasound procedures are appropriate Maintains current standards of practice through review of current literature, including information on best practice Performs daily, monthly, quarterly quality control as appropriate Communicates examination outcomes to Radiologists appropriately or to Cardiologists on the appropriate cases Oversight of inventory (medical supplies and other supplies) Participates in quality management oversight and data acquisition Bring issues and potential solutions to the attention of the Radiology Manager Other Duties: Complies with local, state and federal laws and regulations. Completes other duties as assigned Requirements Availability Requirements: Sunday through Saturday per shift assigned.
