Sonographer (OB/GYN) Location: Rotating between Frederick, Urbana, and Mt. Airy, MD Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Salary Range: $45 - $50.50 per hour (based on experience) Sign-on Bonus: $5,000 Job Description We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Sonographer to join our growing team. This role supports a high-volume women’s health practice, delivering diagnostic imaging services across multiple locations. The ideal candidate brings strong clinical expertise in OB/GYN and breast imaging, along with a commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality patient care. As a Sonographer, you will play a vital role in performing diagnostic imaging examinations using specialized ultrasound equipment to visualize internal organs and tissues, supporting accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Responsibilities Ultrasound Imaging Perform OB/GYN and breast ultrasound examinations, including fetal anatomy and development assessments Acquire high-quality diagnostic images following established protocols Patient Care Ensure patient comfort, safety, and understanding throughout procedures Provide a professional and compassionate patient experience Clinical Support Analyze images, identify abnormalities, and communicate findings to providers Assist physicians with diagnostic and treatment planning Documentation & Compliance Maintain accurate records in EHR systems Ensure all imaging meets medical necessity and regulatory standards Equipment & Quality Prepare and maintain ultrasound equipment Follow infection control, safety, and sterilization protocols Stay current with advancements in ultrasound technology and best practices Collaboration Work closely with physicians, nurses, and staff across multiple locations Adapt to rotating schedules coordinated by the Lead Sonographer Minimum Qualifications Associate degree or completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program Minimum 2+ years of OB/GYN sonography experience in a high-volume clinical setting Active ARDMS certification Strong clinical expertise in obstetric and gynecologic imaging Proficiency in performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations and interpreting imaging for clinical support Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Detail-oriented, proactive, and quality-focused approach to patient care Computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Office; EHR systems) Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel between locations as needed Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of OB/GYN sonography experience in a high-volume clinical setting Experience with NextGen or similar EHR systems Bilingual (English/Spanish) Additional certification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or applicable state licensure Salary Salary Range: $45 - $50.50 per hour (based on experience) Sign-on Bonus: $5,000 Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance Flexible Spending Account (FSA) / Health Savings Account (HSA)* 401(k) retirement plan Paid time off: 2 weeks vacation 56 hours sick leave 1 personal day 7 paid holidays Mileage reimbursement Employer-paid short-term disability and basic life insurance Optional supplemental insurance plans Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Benefits eligibility requires a minimum of 30 hours per week *FSA/HSA eligibility based on plan selection (IRS guidelines apply) Schedule Full-time and part-time opportunities available Full-time, 8-hour shifts (40 hours a week) Part-time, 8-hour shifts (3 days a week) Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Occasional late evenings or weekends based on practice needs Work Location In person, rotating between: Frederick, MD Urbana, MD Mt.
