As our Sonographer, the duties and responsibilities you will have to provide are:

  • To provide general abdominal, pelvic, small parts, lumps and bumps, vascular ultrasound scanning services in conjunction with other Sonographers and healthcare professionals. The ability to scan MSK too would be advantages.
  • To independently perform ultrasound scanning duties to the required standards of Diagnostic World and client partners and to produce a clinical report for each ultrasound scan undertaken.
  • Undertake ultrasound procedures in line with existing modality specific clinical guidelines and protocols (aligned with RCR & SOR Standards).
  • Manage a safe, effective, caring and well led environment responsive to our patients, customer and staff requirements.
  • Support the Clinic HCA as required to ensure the smooth running of the clinic.

Diagnostic World are a leading provider of NHS and Private healthcare with services delivered from Community Diagnostic Centres, Community Health Centres and within our fleet of mobile and relocatable units. Within our service offering, we provide General and Musculoskeletal Ultrasound to patients across the Midlands & South-East on a referred and self-referred basis.

To be considered you will have the following requirements:

  • Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasound or equivalent
  • Must have a radiology qualification or equivalent in Ultrasound
  • Overseas qualification equivalent to Pg Dip
  • Registered with the HCPC and SOR or RCT
  • 2 years post qualification experience
  • Experience scanning all general scans – abdomen, pelvis (TA & TV), renal, testes
