Description
Overview CVP is seeking Sonographer/Ultrasound Technologists to provide comprehensive ultrasound imaging services for our Nation's Veterans at the San Francisco VA Medical Center. You'll perform complex ultrasound examinations as part of a medical team, supporting critical diagnostic services for Veterans' healthcare needs. As a Sonographer/Ultrasound Technologist, you will perform highly complex ultrasound examinations under the general direction of supervising Radiologists. You'll work with advanced imaging equipment and technology to provide critical diagnostic information that supports Veterans' medical care. Responsibilities Perform highly complex ultrasound examinations under general direction of supervising Radiologists Set up ultrasound rooms ensuring sterile supplies, materials, and required equipment are present and properly arranged Operate ultrasound equipment with familiarity with GE systems, utilizing appropriate protocols and technical factors Provide portable ultrasound services throughout the medical center and verify patient identity using appropriate patient identifiers Archive and document procedures with proper image annotation, evaluation, and labeling for optimal demonstration of pathology Send daily start/end time and workload emails to designated VA address and maintain accurate documentation in Electronic Health Records Qualifications Completion of accredited sonography/ultrasound program Current certification by American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) required Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (renewed every 2 years) Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology Familiarity with GE equipment and Philips IntelliSpace PACS highly desirable Strong patient care and communication skills Ability to work independently under general supervision Physical ability to assist patients and operate specialized equipment US Citizenship required for background investigation Shift Rotating shifts including weekends, on-call, and holidays:• Days: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM• Split: 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM• Evenings: 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM• Nights: 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM Pay Range: $68-73/hr Location San Francisco VAMC, 4150 Clement Street, San Francisco, CA 94121 About CVP CVP is an award-winning healthcare and next-gen technology and consulting services firm solving critical problems for healthcare, national security, and public sector clients.
