Position Title: Sonographer – Women’s Imaging

Pay Rate: $52 – $55/hour

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Sonographer specializing in women’s imaging to perform diagnostic OB/GYN and abdominal ultrasound exams. This is a contract opportunity ideal for professionals passionate about patient care and advancing women’s health in a collaborative clinical setting.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program (recognized by CHEA/USDOE)
• RDMS certification in both Abdominal and OB/GYN imaging – Required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in diagnostic ultrasound, with a focus on women’s health
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology related to imaging
• Must pass a pre-employment health clearance

• Independently perform OB/GYN and abdominal ultrasound exams
• Assess images to distinguish between normal and abnormal findings
• Review patient medical history to guide imaging protocols
• Communicate relevant observations to the interpreting radiologist
• Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the procedure
• Document procedures accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
• Manage daily ultrasound lab operations, including equipment checks and scheduling
• Perform quality assurance (QA) on imaging systems
• Comply with HIPAA, hospital policies, and infection control standards
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to ensure coordinated care
