Job Details Job Location: MESQUITE, TX 75150 Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $13.25 Hourly Job Shift: Any SUMMARY Under the direction of the Team Leader and Production Team Leader, the Textile Sorter is to process and sort all textile donations. Primary duties include sorting donated textiles based on quality and brand. In addition, the Textile Sorter must maintain the production area by keeping the workstation clean, neat, and in a safe condition. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES 1. Sort donated textile and place non-sellable items into outlet containers. 2. Sort donated textile and place non-seasonal back stock items in company provided back stock boxes. 3. Keep production area clean, neat, and safe. 4. Maintain well-groomed appearance and appropriate dress code including name badge. ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES 1. Responsible for performing their assigned duties within the framework of our Core Principles 2. Attend in-service and related training as assigned by Team Leader. 3. Perform other duties assigned by the Team Lead or Production Lead. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES The list below is representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability utilized while performing this job. 1. Ability to adhere to the organization’s Core Principles. 2. Knowledge of retail and/or stock handling. 3. Ability to react calmly and react to emergency situations. 4. Ability to listen and follow directions. 5. Ability to stand for long periods of time. 6. Knowledge of linen brands and varieties. 7. Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language Education and/or Experience: Previous retail and/or stack handling experience is preferred. SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT (e.g. physical or environmental requirements, irregular work schedule, required license or certification, background check) Physical and Environmental Requirements: 1. Regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. 2. Vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. 3. Standing and walking for long periods of time 4. Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, push, and pull. 5. Sufficient mobility to turn from side to side and the ability to lean and remove items from containers. 6. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic).

Responsibilities

The Textile Sorter processes and sorts all textile donations based on quality and brand. They are also responsible for maintaining a clean and safe production area.
