Parts Express, part of Yusen Logistics Benelux, specializes in the overnight distribution of time-critical shipments. For our crossdock facility in Vianen, we are looking for a dedicated and structured professional to take full ownership of our sorting line operation, which has been running successfully for over a year.
The Role:
As Sorting Line Operator, you are the key person responsible for the execution and coordination of our nightly sorting process. You will work closely with the dock supervisor, process leader, and a team of approximately 11 flex workers to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient handling of incoming and outgoing freight.

Main Responsibilities:

• Start your shift by inspecting the sorting line using a predefined checklist.
• Ensure that the working area around the sorting line is clean, organized and ready.
• Coordinate the required workforce in consultation with the process leader.
• Instruct and lead flex workers, monitor performance, and make adjustments where needed.
• Oversee both the inbound and outbound flow of goods through the sorting line.
• Make sure that the right goods are fed into the line at the right time and in the correct way.
• Identify and process any non-scannable items or incorrect shipments in our TMS system.
• Guarantee a scan success rate of at least 98% on all items processed.
• After the sorting run (completed by 00:00), reassign available workers to other parts of the dock.
• Support planning activities post-sortation, including communication with drivers.
• Evaluate the shift daily with dock supervisor and process leader and report to the network manager.

Your Profile:

• Affinity with logistics.
• Mature
• Strong communicator with a hands-on mentality.
• Comfortable working evening/night hours (start at 18:00).
• Physically able to lift and handle goods where needed.
• Forklift license is a plus but not required.
• Proficient in Dutch (must) and English.
• Confident in leading and directing temporary staff.
