Diversified Services Network, Inc. (DSN) is seeking a full-time Sound Test Engineer to join our team in Mossville, IL! We offer full benefits, PTO, 401k, and more! JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: A typical workday involves receiving updates on development plans from the sound engineers, modifying and constructing structures to implement concepts, setting up equipment such as microphones, and troubleshooting as necessary. This may also include running tests either with or without machine operators. During the planning and documentation phases, you will participate in meetings with design teams, most of which will be conducted via teleconference. You will be responsible for planning, setting up, executing tests, and analyzing and reporting on results and recommendations. You will assist in the design and construction of cab mockups for testing at both the Tech Center and the Proving Grounds. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering curriculum that includes dynamics labs in NVH-Noise, Vibration, Harshness AND 5-7 years of experience REQUIRED SKILLS: Good understanding of mechanical and audio systems Knowledge with instrumentation like microphones, accelerometers and how to apply them Experience processing/interpreting high frequency data Initiative Good communication skills Interpreting frequency data DESIRED SKILLS: Experience with troubleshooting and fixing mechanical systems Experience with audio concepts like intelligibility metrics, etc. Work or hobby experience with hand tools and carpentry, car audio installation, etc. SOFT SKILLS REQUIRED: High initiative, good communication, strong teamwork 401(k) Dental insurance Vision Insurance Disability insurance Employee assistance program Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Paid Holidays Please follow the link to our website for a list of job openings in Engineering, IT, Project Management, and more! https://www.dsnworldwide.com
