WHAT WE NEED:

The Sourcing Analyst is an established performer that works closely with the Procurement team to analyze and optimize sourcing strategies. This role involves collecting and interpreting data, identifying trends, and collaborating with suppliers to achieve cost savings and enhance overall procurement efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all activities related to procurement of a commodity beginning with intent to purchase through delivery. Analyze the requirements of the commodity, including preliminary specifications, preferred supplier, and date commodity as needed.
  • Solicit and evaluate proposals for the requested commodity. Investigate and/or interview potential suppliers to determine if they meet the specified requirements. Advise team members or management on the appropriate supplier to be used.
  • Negotiate the lowest possible cost for the commodity balanced against the optimum quality and schedule needs. Implement purchase contracts that comply with company and government regulations.
  • Assures that the commodity is delivered on schedule, at the negotiated price, and meets the quality standards of the company. Maintain timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other documents to assure accurate retention of records.
  • Coordinate appropriate methods needed to distribute commodity in a cost-effective manner.
  • Maintain contact with appropriate internal partners to help determine short and long-term demand.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
