Description Position Summary The Sourcing and Costing Specialist is responsible for identifying and evaluating suppliers, obtaining competitive pricing, analyzing costs, and supporting procurement activities to ensure materials and services are sourced efficiently and cost-effectively. This role works closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Operations teams to support new and existing projects while maintaining supplier relationships and ensuring timely delivery of materials. Requirements Essential Duties and Responsibilities Source materials, components, and services from qualified suppliers. Request and evaluate supplier quotations for cost, quality, and lead time. Prepare and maintain cost estimates and pricing analyses for products and projects. Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers. Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships. Analyze market trends, material costs, and supply chain risks. Support new product introductions by sourcing materials and obtaining quotes. Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams to identify cost-saving opportunities. Maintain accurate supplier, pricing, and sourcing records. Assist with supplier qualification and performance evaluations. Monitor supplier performance regarding quality, delivery, and responsiveness. Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to sourcing and cost reduction. Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred. 3+ years of sourcing, procurement, purchasing, or cost analysis experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of supplier management and cost analysis. Experience reviewing technical drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and manufacturing processes is preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP/MRP systems. Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Cost estimating and pricing analysis. Supplier sourcing and vendor management. Contract and price negotiation. Data analysis and reporting. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain operations. Working Conditions Office environment with occasional visits to production areas and supplier facilities. May require periodic travel to supplier locations and industry events.
