A global materials provider to the Aerospace Automotive and Industrial sectors is recruiting a Sourcing Manager to join its Cambridge-based team on a permanent basis. SENIOR SOURCING MANAGER REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree level qualification in a scientific engineering business or economics related subject.
  • Experience in purchasing finance supply chain or sourcing.
  • Result-oriented with strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Leadership qualities dynamic and self-motivated.
  • Take initiative to identify opportunities propose solutions and drive positive change.
  • Strategic-thinker Skilled negotiator commercially astute with Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a highly matrix organization.
  • ERP system experience in the finance and/or procurement/supply chain area (Microsoft platforms SAP etc)

Responsibilities
  • To manage the sourcing of indirect external spend as assigned for the EAP region.
  • To lead and be responsible for Sourcing suppliers, developing suppliers and building mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers. To manage supplier relationships to obtain maximum value according to growth initiatives and plans.
  • Determine best options and make recommendations by evaluating total cost and quality of indirect materials and services across a diverse range of categories.
  • Procurement of critical indirect materials and services to meet forecasts, production/maintenance requirements, and aggressive capital project schedules.
  • To act as an instrumental part in innovating, developing, and implementing leading procurement category strategies, identify and leverage company-wide spend opportunities where applicable.
  • To lead complex negotiations and represent Sourcing in specific site level negotiations. May involve multiple sites with very high spend across multiple categories.
  • To act as a liaison between the sites, suppliers, and stakeholders for assigned projects and initiatives and implement relevant indirect categories strategies as assigned.
  • To continuously improve costs and terms of purchase. To lead in the development and deployment of standard sourcing processes.
  • To lead complex negotiations and represent Sourcing in specific site level negotiations. May involve multiple sites with very high spend across multiple categories.
