In Energy, Recovery and Environmental Services we are providing maintenance, upgrades and rebuilds of biomass power boilers and pulp mill chemical recovery boilers. We are now looking for a Sourcing Manager – Boiler Pressure Part Installations . In this role, you will lead the development of our subcontractor and supplier network for boiler pressure part installations across the EMEA region. You’ll drive sourcing strategy implementation, ensure supplier excellence, and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
This position can be based at any major Valmet location in Europe.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of experience in sourcing, purchasing, or category management.
- Knowledge of subcontracting installation and/or construction works.
- Familiarity with the oil & gas, energy, or pulp & paper industries.
- Knowledge of welding methods and standards is an advantage.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to work both independently and within a matrix organization.
- Excellent written and verbal English skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong networks and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel frequently and extensively.
- Proven ability to work proactively with high energy and self-motivation.

Responsibilities:
- Leading implementation of EMEA sourcing strategy aligned with business requirements from Site Operations and Category Management
- Manage suppliers effectively using SRM frameworks and segmentation strategies.
- Accountable for creation, negotiation, and execution frame agreements in cooperation with site operations.
- Ensure efficient management of suppliers in accordance with the supplier relationship management (SRM) framework and supplier segmentation.
- Identifying new potential suppliers and developing contractor network close to customers
- Implement competitive bidding procedures.
- Act as link between sales, procurement & operations during sales phase.
- Monitor suppliers’ performance in sustainability, quality, health and safety.
