About you and this role Our Logistics Procurement EMEAI Road Warehouse & Intermodal (RWI) & Rail team is seeking a Sourcing Manager – Warehouse to shape warehouse sourcing strategies across EMEAI, with a strong focus on Europe. The role is based in Horgen, Switzerland. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with experience in logistics procurement, warehouse sourcing, or supply chain network design who enjoy working at a strategic, regional level. A central element of the role is warehouse network optimization, using advanced analytics and digital tools to support decisions on warehouse footprint, capacity, service levels, and cost efficiency, contributing to a resilient and future‑ready logistics network. Responsibilities Developing and implementing sourcing and commercial strategies for warehouse operations across EMEAI, aligned with business priorities, regional requirements, and governance standards. Leading strategic sourcing activities for warehouse services, including storage, handling, value‑added services, and integrated logistics solutions, from tendering through contract implementation. Driving warehouse network optimization initiatives by evaluating footprint, capacity, service levels, and cost structures to support regional network design decisions. Performing advanced data analysis and scenario modelling to inform decisions on warehouse location strategy, capacity planning, and operational efficiency. Leading complex commercial negotiations with warehouse and logistics service providers, establishing long‑term partnerships that balance cost competitiveness, service performance, and operational resilience. Assessing and supporting the integration of automation, digitalization, and emerging technologies, such as warehouse automation, AI‑enabled optimization, and digital twin modelling, to improve network performance. Acting as a subject matter expert and project leader, collaborating with cross‑functional stakeholders to align priorities, manage interfaces, and support continuous improvement within Logistics Procurement. Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or a related field. Experience in logistics sourcing, warehouse operations, or supply chain network design, ideally within complex or industrial environments. Demonstrated experience leading strategic sourcing initiatives and managing complex commercial negotiations. Strong analytical capability, including experience with data analytics, modelling, and decision‑support tools. Experience contributing to warehouse network optimization or logistics network design initiatives. Exposure to warehouse automation, digital logistics tools, or AI‑enabled optimization solutions is an advantage. The ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders in a global, matrix organization. Your Skills Ability to develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies and lead complex commercial negotiations that deliver sustainable value. Strong understanding of warehouse operations and the ability to design, evaluate, and optimize logistics and supply chain networks, balancing cost, service levels, resilience, and scalability. Proficiency in data analysis and scenario modelling to support informed, evidence‑based decision‑making. Ability to analyze market dynamics and supplier capabilities to identify risks, opportunities, and value levers. Experience with automation, digitalization, and logistics innovation to improve network performance and efficiency. Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a global, matrix environment. Experience developing contract strategies and implementing commercial agreements aligned with sourcing objectives. Proven strategic project leadership and analytical problem‑solving skills, bringing structure and clarity to complex or ambiguous situations.
