What You’ll Do In this role, you will help drive sourcing and procurement activities that support operational and capital needs across the agency. You will work across multiple program areas, helping plan purchasing strategies, coordinate contract activity, support fiscal processing, and maintain compliant procurement documentation. Skill in using computers and applicable software, including spreadsheets, databases, word processing, and reporting tools. Ability to analyze data, identify issues, apply sourcing procedures, write business correspondence, maintain records, and build effective working relationships with internal customers and vendors. What’s Required Option 1: At least 3 ½ years’ experience or training in purchasing/procurement/sourcing to include experience in performing spend analysis, developing sourcing strategy & evaluating vendor performance. Option 2: Completion of undergraduate core in public or business administration, purchasing, materials management, contracting, acquisition management or logistics, supply chain management, operations management or other sourcing related field, including at least 1 ½ years’ experience or training in purchasing/procurement/sourcing. Option 3: Completion of graduate core in public or business administration, purchasing, materials management, contracting, acquisition management or logistics, supply chain management, operations management or other sourcing related field, including at least 6 months experience or training in purchasing/procurement/sourcing. Option 4: At least 2 years’ experience as a Sourcing Analyst with the State of Ohio. Option 5: At least 1 year experience as a Senior Sourcing Analyst with the State of Ohio. Option 6: The equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.
