Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition Program Manager to ensure the configuration of the new CRM meets our sourcing practice requirements needs.
  • The CRM is part of an ATS implementation that will take place in early Q2 2025. You will prepare our current talent pools for this migration.
  • Post-implementation, you will own and maintain our strategic pipelines and leverage the various system features to nurture talent.
  • Define Pomerleau’s sourcing standard operating practices, strategic pipelines and key performance indicators to monitor pipeline health.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition Manager to perform pipeline readiness analyses during the bidding phase for major projects (50+ million) and support defining the sourcing portion of the new project hiring strategy.
  • Develop strategic talent pools to meet succession planning, confidential or executive hiring needs.
  • Promote best-in-class sourcing practices and act as the expert within the Talent Acquisition function and with the business at large.
  • Develop and deliver training to the recruitment team (this may include templates or tools).
  • Advise colleagues on developing customized attraction strategies for hard-to-fill roles.
  • Stay up to date with the best tools available and make recommendations as needed.
  • Own talent intelligence practices such as competitor mapping, economic trend analysis and/or global construction project monitoring that present opportunities for Pomerleau.
  • Partner with Communications to develop impactful recruitment marketing strategies, campaigns and/or events that support our pipeline needs and ensure our social media is tailored to our target talent pools.
  • Source, source, source everyday!

THIS ROLE COULD BE FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE

  • Previous experience as a senior recruiter, headhunted or sourcer with a specialization in passive lead attraction and successful conversion to active candidates over short to long periods of time (up to 18 months between initial contact & conversion).
  • Ease with utilizing various sourcing tools to conduct your Searches.
  • Creative and bold attraction strategist willing to launch out-of-the-box initiatives to set Pomerleau apart and garner attention from our target talent pools.
  • Relationship builder able to nurture our talent pools beyond a classic transactional approach and create a strong attachment to the organization.
  • A growth oriented and curious mindset: you love learning and you leverage this approach to understand business strategy, operations and needs to heighten the quality of your pipelines.
  • Able to leverage data and strong business acumen to make strategic decisions.
  • Bilingualism (French & English) as you’ll be collaborating with colleagues across Canada and recruiting both French & English-speaking candidates.

These are not hard requirements for the role but could help set your profile apart.

  • International recruitment or sourcing experience.
  • Previous experience in the construction, energy or ‘heavy industries’ sector (preferably a mix of in-house & RPO experience).
  • Experience with project-based hiring structures or rapid growth companies.
  • Familiarity with AI tools or used cases as it pertains to recruitment and ability to maximize them for success
