YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
To be considered for this role you would have skills & experience in the following to be a successful Business Support Officer:
- Ideally 3+ years leadership experience in procurement, strategic sourcing and contract management
- Relevant business, accounting, legal or commerce degree qualification
- Ability to travel and engage stakeholders throughout department
- Highly proficient in Microsoft applications; Word, Excel and Outlook
- Experience in building relationships with stakeholders; interval and external
- MUST be able to pass a criminal history check prior to commencing
Responsibilities:
As a Sourcing Specialist, your duties will be:
- Delivering sourcing projects, responsible for initiation, planning, market approach, evaluation, negotiation and contract formation
- Mentoring other team members
- Forming evaluation and negotiation teams and processes for contracts at an implementation level
- Supporting reviews and improvements to sourcing processes and systems, implementing best practice sourcing methods
- Reviewing contract terms and conditions to align with legislative changes, policy updates, practices improvement or changing organisational priorities
- Assisting contract management resources with contract variations for complex agreements
- Working with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate these into contract outcome
