YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

To be considered for this role you would have skills & experience in the following to be a successful Business Support Officer:

  • Ideally 3+ years leadership experience in procurement, strategic sourcing and contract management
  • Relevant business, accounting, legal or commerce degree qualification
  • Ability to travel and engage stakeholders throughout department
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft applications; Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience in building relationships with stakeholders; interval and external
  • MUST be able to pass a criminal history check prior to commencing
Responsibilities

As a Sourcing Specialist, your duties will be:

  • Delivering sourcing projects, responsible for initiation, planning, market approach, evaluation, negotiation and contract formation
  • Mentoring other team members
  • Forming evaluation and negotiation teams and processes for contracts at an implementation level
  • Supporting reviews and improvements to sourcing processes and systems, implementing best practice sourcing methods
  • Reviewing contract terms and conditions to align with legislative changes, policy updates, practices improvement or changing organisational priorities
  • Assisting contract management resources with contract variations for complex agreements
  • Working with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate these into contract outcome
