Position Summary
The Sourcing Specialist’s primary role is to promote and implement tactical sourcing activities, while proactively managing assigned commodities and supply base. They construct RFx’s and are responsible for negotiating products or services from strategic suppliers. They are also responsible for establishing and maintaining supplier relationships to seek maximum value for the company including total cost of ownership. This position will report to the Sourcing Supervisor and is in downtown Houston, TX. Hybrid work schedule is an option for remote work on Mondays and Fridays. Level and salary commensurate with experience.
Essential Job Functions
Develop RFx documents, conduct data analysis, and negotiate contracts while obtaining and evaluating quotations to support sourcing strategies and align with operational objectives for assigned commodities. Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities through innovative sourcing strategies, substitutions, and enhanced supply chain management techniques, including target costing and negotiations.
