Description POSITION SUMMARY PRO*ACT is seeking a driven Sourcing Specialist to join our Procurement team! This individual will play a key role in sourcing high-quality produce, managing supplier relationships, and delivering market insight to support our growing network. Key responsibilities include • Provide value to distributors by sourcing high-quality products at competitive prices • Maintain commodity expertise and provide proactive market intelligence to the organization • Source and price P.O.s in a timely manner • Forecast market trends, product quality, availability, and seasonal transitions; communicate updates to internal teams and distribution network • Ensure order fulfillment by utilizing data and reports to hold supplier partners accountable; resolve shortfalls and quality issues • Network and collaborate with internal team, distributor procurement and sales teams and suppliers to grow business • Maintain supplier and distributor relationships and build customer loyalty by aligning sourcing with customer needs • Identify opportunities for cost savings, sourcing improvements, and program growth while monitoring supplier performance • Serve in “on-call” rotation to manage after-hours sourcing needs and customer issues POSITION HIGHLIGHTS • Excellent Pay • Generous Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off • Exceptional Team Oriented Culture • 401(k) employer match; vested immediately • FUN, rewarding environment! COMPENSATION: $90,000 – $125,000/annually About PRO*ACT PROACT is America’s leading distributor of fresh produce to the fresh food industry, utilizing its network of over 50 distribution companies operating over 70 third-party inspected, independently owned distribution centers across the United States and Canada. PROACT sources perishable product from premier local, national, and regional suppliers and markets a one-call solution to fresh food operators who benefit from PRO*ACT’s category cost management through commodity contract pricing, in-house consultation services, and integrated produce program distribution management. Requirements EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred 5+ year of produce experience required. Expert level knowledge in at least 1 Produce Commodity required. High level of Customer Service required. Strong team player able to assist other team members when needed required. High level of proficiency with Windows-based product management software required. Ability to flex priorities as needed required.
