GENERAL SUMMARY:

Lead end-to-end procurement operations across assigned direct and indirect spend categories, managing the complete source-to-pay lifecycle. Drive cost optimization and risk mitigation through data-driven supplier selection, competitive bidding processes, and contract negotiations. Partner with internal stakeholders to understand requirements, develop category strategies, and ensure procurement activities align with business objectives while maintaining compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

· Minimum 2-3 years’ experience as a procurement specialist, preferably in the chemical industry
· Bachelor’s degree preferred
· Knowledge and understanding of MRP systems
· Basic understanding of the chemical manufacturing process
· Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Excel and Outlook. Advanced Excel experience preferred
· Excellent communication skills
· Time management and organizational skills
· Critical thinking and problem solving
· Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time and follow through to completion

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Gordon, GA 3103

· Lead category management initiatives for assigned raw material and other spend portfolios, developing comprehensive sourcing strategies that align with business objectives
· Perform market analysis and supply market intelligence to identify cost reduction opportunities and supply risk mitigation strategies
· Select/qualify strategic suppliers through rigorous evaluation processes, optimizing supplier networks
· Conduct comprehensive day-to-day supplier performance management including business reviews, scorecarding, continuous improvement initiatives, supplier disputes, claims resolution, and commercial issue escalation
· Drive aggressive cost savings targets through strategic negotiations, supplier consolidation, and value engineering initiatives
· Maintain procurement data integrity in ERP systems with emphasis on analytics and spend visibility
· Lead supplier onboarding processes with focus on strategic value creation and risk (including qualification, evaluation, and performance management)
· Champion continuous improvement of procurement processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance departmental effectiveness
· Collaborate with Production Planning, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to ensure materials are aligned with production schedule.
- Review material inventories and deliveries and enter purchase orders as required per planned production and inventory levels
· Review and propose adjustment of MRP planning parameters for materials based on lead time
- Track and confirm status of purchase orders, communicating daily with management, Production Planning & Scheduling regarding the flow of materials and services affecting production
· Support procurement reporting as needed and provide analytical insights that support data-driven decision making
