JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a talented sous chef to come and join our kitchen. The perfect candidate will have experience in Mediterranean food and knowledge that they are happy to share with our team. Our kitchen is open to the public so the temperament of all our chefs is calm but professional. Our menu changes seasonally and specials run throughout the weekend. We are keen to find a chef that loves food and creating dishes. A chef that is happy to work alongside our head chef and lead the other members of our team when the head chef is not present.
You should be punctual, professional and be keen to learn. Starting salary is £40,000pa for 7 shifts per week. A morning shift starts at 9.30am and finishes at 4.30pm and evening shift starts at 3.30pm and finishes at approximately 11pm. You will be expected to work a combination of single and double shifts across the week with at least 2 days off.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food production techniques and culinary skills.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Experience in supervising kitchen operations and staff training is highly desirable.
  • A passion for cooking and creating innovative dishes that enhance the dining experience.

  • Help train new kitchen staff in culinary techniques and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new recipes and improve existing dishes.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
  • Ensure that all kitchen equipment is maintained and functioning properly.
