We are looking for a passionate Chef, Brunch lover who cares about local produce and farm to table dining.
Our cafe is open from 8am to 3pm 7days a week.
30 Acres, situated on The Parade, Norwood is the place to go for a contemporary Australian brunch that shows off south Australian produce in all its glory, but with the affordable price tag accessible to everyone.
Our chefs and bakers work with local producers from the Adelaide Hills and surrounding South Australia sourcing products to feature on a seasonally driven menu. As the Sous chef you will also be involved with our farm in the Adelaide Hills, helping us decide on the variety of produce we plant and ultimately what and when we harvest for the eatery.
Our farm currently has over 900 fruit trees mostly a variety of stone fruits however apples, pears and some figs too. We are also growing a large variety of herbs, berries and vegetables.
We are using different methods of preserving and fermentation along with wood fired cooking to create a unique menu in the Kitchen and in the Bakery.
We are looking for a Sous Chef with the drive to push for a forward-thinking food industry in SA and work on reducing waste, minimising food miles and changing people’s ideas about what is actually good food.
Applicants must have relevant experience as either a sous / CDP of a fast-paced kitchen, good knowledge of South Australian produce, knowledge of wood fired oven and char coal grill cooking preferable.
You will oversee all daily food operations, work with the Owners, Head Baker and breakfast chef to create our seasonal menus. This is a hands on cooking position working with and training the less experienced staff under you.

This role is ideal for and experienced Chef who is looking to step into a Sous chef position.
