Alma is seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our team. Our small cafe is dedicated to providing our customers with high-quality food made from fresh, local ingredients. As Sous Chef, you will work closely with our head chef to oversee the kitchen operations and ensure that all dishes are prepared to our exacting standards.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the creation of menus and recipes
Oversee the preparation of all dishes
Train and manage kitchen staff
Maintain kitchen inventory and order supplies
Ensure that all food safety and sanitation standards are met
Work with the head chef to develop and maintain food cost controls
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in a sous chef role
Experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
Ability to work well under pressure
