JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts and a proven track record of supervising kitchen staff. QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in a culinary role, preferably within a restaurant setting.
  • Strong supervisory experience with demonstrated team management skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food production techniques and culinary practices.
  • Excellent cooking skills with an emphasis on presentation and flavour profiles.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene.
  • Previous experience in hospitality is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise between kitchen staff and management.

  • Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and managing staff.

  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health codes.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
  • Support the Head Chef in menu planning, costing, and portion control.
  • Engage with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
