ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Sous Chefs to join our team, supporting care home. This role offers a great opportunity for experienced chefs who enjoy working in a rewarding environment, preparing nutritious meals, and supporting a head chef or catering manager with day-to-day kitchen operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals to a high standard.
  • Support the Head Chef in planning menus that are varied, balanced, and meet dietary requirements.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in line with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Supervise and guide kitchen assistants and other staff as required.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised kitchen environment.
  • Help with stock control, ordering, and minimising food waste.
  • Adapt meals for residents with special dietary needs.
