Aramark is seeking a Sous-Chef for Bishop’s University.
Position: Sous-Chef
Location: Bishop’s University (2600 Rue Collège, Sherbrooke, QC, J1M 1Z7)
Salary: $24.00 per hour
Start Date: As soon as possible in 2025

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3–4 years of experience in food service or the restaurant industry
  • Demonstrated rigor and method in daily work
  • MAPAQ hygiene and food safety certification (asset)
  • Bilingualism is an asset, as some clients are English-speaking
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Ability to work independently
  • Positive attitude, punctuality, honesty, and sound judgment
  • Customer-service oriented
    This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Chef in preparing the daily menu
  • Cook and prepare a variety of foods following production guidelines and standardized recipes
  • Carry out cooking and finishing of dishes
  • Participate in placing orders
  • Demonstrate creativity while meeting client requirements
  • Ensure food quality and customer satisfaction
  • Optimize food and labor costs
  • Ensure compliance with management, health, hygiene, and food safety programs
  • Monitor and control service quality and customer satisfaction
  • Participate in inventory counts and ordering
  • Contribute to menu development for certain food concepts
