Our Kitchen Supervisor will assist in overseeing all of the kitchen activities within the busy restaurant and will report to the Kitchen Manager.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Line cook experience within a restaurant operation and proven track record with an emphasis on food quality, consistency and effective cost controls.
  • Passionate about the hospitality/restaurant industry, and enjoy the interpersonal aspects of the job.
  • A keen eye for details and commitment to ensuring excellence in both quality of product and service.
  • Proven ability to motivate and lead employees in a busy, high quality environment.
  • Natural leader, good communicator, and good listener.

Responsibilities
  • Lead employees by personal example with a philosophy of work conduct, enthusiasm and personal development that leads to maximum performance and job satisfaction.
  • Provide effective and efficient interdepartmental communication.
  • Coordinate with the Food & Beverage Manager.
  • Maintain current training programs, company policies and BCP’s standards.
  • Ensure food preparation and presentation standards are upheld and prepared according to BCP’s. guidelines, meeting the highest standards of taste, quality & presentation.
  • Effectively estimate food requirements.
  • Prepare and cook for small and large groups, tour groups, conventions, a la carte and buffets.
  • Work within the budgeted guidelines for the kitchen.
  • Identify any training needs within your staff and follow up accordingly.
  • Set up station according to restaurant guidelines.
  • Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
  • Maintain efficient production of food items in accordance with standard cooking times, as outlined in training manuals.
  • Restock all items as needed throughout shift.
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
  • Assist with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas.
  • Ensure all staff maintain a safe and injury free workplace by following safe work practices, complying with all sanitation and health & safety standards and ensure safe operation and maintenance of all kitchen equipment.
  • Additional duties may be assigned to help meet guest and business needs.
