JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled Chef to support our catering and event program in a dynamic kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts and experience working in a catering or event services venue or facility. Our team is lead by our Executive Chef.

REQUIREMENTS

• 3 years of previous experience working in a catering or banquet setting
• Proficiency in large event ordering, menu planning and food preparation
• Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and best practices, ability to lead of team to achieve outstanding food products for large events
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organizational skills, communication and leadership skills to effectively manage kitchen staff
  Job Type: Full-time
  Pay: $27.00 per hour
  Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week

• Oversee food preparation and cooking activities related to catering and banquets.
• Assist in the creation of menu in collaboration with the culinary team.
• Ensure that all dishes are prepared according to the established recipes and quality standards
• Ensure all proper cooking techniques and safety procedures are followed
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace
• Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items and specials
• Support the Chef and sous chef when needed it for regular restaurant service.
