Working alongside a passionate Head Chef and talented kitchen brigade, you’ll play a key role in delivering innovative, high-quality cuisine at scale. Job Description As Sous Chef, you’ll support the Head Chef in leading kitchen operations, mentoring the team and delivering exceptional food across a diverse range of events. This role is perfect for a creative, hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead daily kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food delivery for large-scale events. Mentor and develop junior chefs; assist with recruitment, rostering and payroll. Create and innovate menus for banquets and high-profile events. Manage food costs, budgets and inventory efficiently. Oversee the stewarding team to ensure smooth kitchen operations, cleanliness and compliance with hygiene standards. Maintain a safe, professional and positive kitchen culture. Drive consistency, creativity and excellence across all services. Qualifications Minimum 2 years’ senior/leadership experience with strong banqueting background. Hands-on leader who motivates teams, sets standards and leads by example. Strong communicator, able to delegate and maintain high standards under pressure. Solutions-focused, adaptable and committed to improving food quality and service. Works independently with initiative, precision and attention to detail. Flexible to work rotating roster including weekends, evenings and public holidays. Must have full, unrestricted working rights in Australia. Additional Information Why work for Accor?
