Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

As Sous Chef, you’ll work closely with our front-of-house team to deliver a small, high-quality savoury menu with a big focus on sandwiches. You’ll play a key role in developing and executing fortnightly specials, contributing your ideas and skills to keep the offering fresh and exciting. This is an opportunity to work in a kitchen that values balance—between creativity and simplicity, quality and speed, autonomy and collaboration.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Mainly day-to-day kitchen operations and maintain high standards of food quality and hygiene.

  • Lead on sandwich prep and service—this is a key part of the venue’s identity.
  • Plan and execute fortnightly savoury specials, working with seasonal produce and emerging food trends.
  • Assist with stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships.
  • Uphold kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards.
  • Provide mentorship to junior staff and ensure a positive, professional kitchen culture.
