JOB SUMMARY:

Bloom Southern Kitchen is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team. This position will be responsible for preparing and cooking food items according to recipes and quality standards and overseeing kitchen operations in absence of the Chef de Cuisine. You will work closely with the kitchen staff as well as independently to prepare food, coordinate with the Chef and kitchen team in training, inventory management, ordering, and lead shifts as needed. Weekend and evening availability is required.
Prospective applicants may asked to work an unpaid stage for a shift to properly evaluate their skills in the kitchen.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager, Lead Line Cook, or in a similar role preferred
  • Knowledge of culinary techniques and practices
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
  • Ability to lead a team and execute a successful service
