BMD Northcliffe Surf Club has an opportunity for an experienced Sous Chef to join our team. You will be working in one of the most renowned club restaurants on the Coast. The successful applicant will be an energetic and positive leader who has the ability to thrive in a fast paced, high volume setting.
Sous Chef Role in a nutshell
Accountable for overall success of the daily kitchen operations. Exhibits culinary talents by personally performing tasks while leading the staff and managing all food related operations. Works to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget. Supervises all kitchen areas to ensure a consistent, high quality product is produced. Responsible for guiding and developing staff including direct reports. Must ensure sanitation and food standards are achieved.

Remuneration will be paid by the hour at Level 8 of the Registered and Licensed Clubs Award 2020 – no being taken advantage of with a salary. Your minimum income based on a 38 hour per week average will be approximately $80-90k per annum. Overtime and public holidays (paid at award loadings) will then increase your annual income further.
