BOSCO PIZZERIA

We are a neighbourhood pizzeria inspired by the best pizzerias of Naples and New York. We have 4 restaurants in the South West - 2 in Bristol, 1 in Bath and 1 in Cheltenham, Cardiff will be our 5th site.
Bosco pizzeria are looking for a driven, ambitious, enthusiastic and passionate Sous chef who enjoys being an inspirational member of a kitchen team. We hope to find the perfect sous chef to help convey our passion for fresh, seasonal & stunning Italian produce and cookery, as well as someone who is dedicate to training, developing and inspiring young chefs and enthusing a whole restaurant with passion for what we do. You will also need a solid financial understanding in the kitchen and a love for being part of a busy & lively restaurant atmosphere.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Full operational control over the day to day running of the kitchen when running shift
  • Ensuring every dish that leaves the pass is cooked & presented to the highest standards
  • Training all members of your team to develop them to be the best chefs they can be
  • To ensure work area is kept to a safe and hygienic state at all times
  • To ensure all kitchen opening and closedown procedures are adhered to
  • To understand and be aware, at all times, of food costs & gross profit percentages and understand how daily costs influence profit & loss results
  • To monitor stock movement to ensure stock security
  • To ensure minimum kitchen wastage

What we are offering:

  • Base Salary of £35,000 per annum
  • Tronc tips estimated between £11k - £13k annually. All tips are evenly shared between all employees.
  • Overtime Pay: Get paid for any hours worked beyond your contracted days at your normal hourly rate

What we require:

  • Previous experience as a Sous chef or at least 3 years at chef de partie level
  • A positive attitude and the ability to transmit this to inspire and train your team
  • The ability to calmly and cooly run busy services in an open kitchen
  • An attention to detail to allow you to produce the best food you can
