Mulberry Cafe, at Bosworth’s Garden Centre, Elton, are looking to add to our already successful kitchen team with a practical and hands on person to assist with the running of the catering operation. Mulberry Café has around 120 covers, and is open seven days a week between 9am and 5pm. The food offering is based around fresh British Classics, Burgers, Jackets, Light Lunches, Salads, handmade cakes and afternoon tea. Our aim is to provide great food, made to order, which is creatively presented and backed up by excellent customer service.
5 days a week on average, with alternate weekends , no evenings or split shifts. Minimum 37.5 hours average per week, up to 45hrs per during peak season. Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Days OFF. Perfect position for that right Work/Life balance.

SKILLSET

  • At least 3 years experience within the Catering Industry, used to working with quality produce and to very high standards.
  • You will have excellent people skills.
  • You will be passionate about working in this environment, and be hands on, with an excellent understanding of food, it’s presentation and provenance.
  • Food Hygiene Certificate and Health and Safety qualifications are essential

Responsibilities
  • Working with the Head Chef and running your own section and to run the Pass in the absence of either the Head Chef or Catering Manager.
  • Ensuring that food preparation and presentation, and customer service, are of the highest standards.
  • Ensure that food safety and hygiene, and also health and safety, are maintained to relevant standards.
