JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. This position requires strong leadership skills, a commitment to food safety, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

EXPERIENCE

• Proven experience as a Junior Sous Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant setting is essential.
• Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen management practices.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in supervising and training kitchen staff.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes is highly desirable.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by the restaurant’s schedule.

• Overseeing daily kitchen operations and staff management.
• Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support in food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
• Participate in menu planning, recipe development, and food production to ensure quality and consistency.
• Train new kitchen staff on proper cooking methods, food handling, and safety procedures.
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to ensure smooth operations.
• Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction.
• Help create an innovative culinary experience that reflects the restaurant’s vision and values.
