JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team of Mothers at a large private home with ten children. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong background in home kitchen operations. As a Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef in ensuring food quality, and maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation and serving meals. This position requires strong communication skills, efficiency in food preparation, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant, food service environment, or as a nanny.
  • Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices for handling food.
  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry is preferred.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate by text.
  • A passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
    Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal
    Contract length: 12 months
    Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour
