Position: Sous Chef Location: Charleston, South Carolina Responsibilities: Assist the Executive Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu development, food preparation, and quality control. Oversee kitchen staff and ensure efficient workflow and adherence to culinary standards. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, upholding sanitation and safety regulations. Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative and visually stunning dishes that showcase the flavors of coastal Italy. Execute recipes with precision and consistency, meeting the highest standards of taste and presentation. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to ensure sufficient stock for daily operations. Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, creativity, and excellence. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of experience in a sous chef or senior culinary role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant environment. Culinary degree or equivalent training from a recognized culinary institute is preferred. Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine and culinary techniques, with a passion for exploring regional flavors and ingredients. Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Excellent communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic kitchen environment.
