In early 2024 we opened our own onsite Cheesemonger at d’Arry’s and now after a year of success, we are looking to develop our kitchen team further.
With the restaurant serving some of the country’s best cheeses and other fantastic dishes, the bar serving the award winning d’Arenberg wine range and our Liquor Loft bar offering fantastic cocktails, it’s a very exciting place to work!
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to help oversee our kitchen operations in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary skills, a passion for food; in particular Cheese, and the ability to lead and inspire a small team. You will be responsible alongside the head chef for maintaining high standards of food safety, quality, and presentation while ensuring efficient kitchen operations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food production processes, and kitchen management practices.
  • Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is essential.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer- focused mindset.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, cook and serve the great food we offer
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment.
  • Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff to ensure high performance and adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Work with the team to help produce new dishes at relevant times
  • Manage stock levels, order goods, and control food costs to maximise profitability.
  • Work with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor kitchen performance and implement improvements as necessary.
  • Assist in the preparation of meals during peak service times as needed.
