Description Linger’s globally-inspired, street-food menu is influenced by makeshift kitchens and streetside nooks from around the world. Housed in the former Olinger mortuary, the decor layers macabre remnants of the history of the building, with posh vintage details in a window-flanked space overlooking the Lower Highlands neighborhood. Featuring one of Denver’s largest rooftop patios, outfitted with a 1975 GMC “Bar-V” and a repurposed food truck, Linger is one of Denver’s signature destination dining and gathering spaces. Key Responsibilities: - Assist the Executive chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service - Prepare, cook, and present menu items according to established recipes and quality standards - Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment - Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations - Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs - Develop and implement new menu items in collaboration with the culinary team - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen at all times - Support training and development of kitchen staff to enhance skills and performance Requirements Skills and Qualifications: - Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary leadership role - Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and sanitation standards - Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills - Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment - Creativity and passion for food and presentation - Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
