Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at the Snowy Hydro project. This is a Fly-In Fly-Out (FIFO) position with a 2:1 rotation schedule, offering a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment.

  • Assist the Head Chef in the preparation and cooking of high-quality meals in accordance with Sodexo’s food safety, hygiene, and nutritional standards across Breakfast, Crib (Cold Larder), Dinner & Desert services
  • Supervise and support kitchen staff to maintain smooth daily operations, collaboratively in a high-performing kitchen team
  • Maintain food safety standards and HACCP compliance
  • Assist with ordering, receiving, and managing food stock and supplies.
  • Be Fit, Flexible, Resilient and have high level Leadership and communication skills

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certificate III or IV Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification)
  • Flexible team player with strong communication skills
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical (including drug & alcohol testing)
  • Australian Citizenship and /or Full Australian working rights
