Apt Resources is excited to announce an opening for a Sous Chef for an Italian Restaurant in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). You will play a vital role in creating authentic Italian dishes, collaborating with the Head Chef, and delivering an unforgettable dining experience in a vibrant culinary setting. If you are passionate about Italian food and eager to advance your culinary career, we invite you to apply. Responsibilities Assist in menu planning and preparation of high-quality Italian dishes. Oversee kitchen operations and ensure consistency in food quality and presentation. Support the Head Chef in training, mentoring, and supervising kitchen staff. Ensure that all food safety regulations and sanitation practices are followed. Manage inventory, including ordering and controlling stock levels of ingredients. Collaborate with the culinary team to create seasonal menus and special dishes. Assist with kitchen administration tasks as necessary. Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Italian restaurant or similar culinary environment. Proven experience in a Sous Chef role or as a Chef de Partie. Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine and its culinary techniques. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure kitchen environment. Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices. Culinary degree or relevant certifications are a plus. Willingness to relocate to DRC for this position. The net take home salary is USD 3000/- per month plus free accommodation, transport and food allowance
