We are looking to hire a Sous Chef to join our team. The Sous Chef is responsible for preparing and assisting the Executive Chef with kitchen operations. This position also assists with maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Compensation: $50-55K
Schedule: * Must have weekend and holiday availability *

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in culinary arts or an equivalent combination of education and 2-3 years’ experience in food preparation
  • One to three years of related experience
  • Current ServSafe Manager Certification

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Prepare and cook meals for residents
  • Assist the Executive Chef with overseeing daily kitchen operations
  • Maintain the highest quality food products and service for our seniors
  • Maintain kitchen sanitation and safety standards
  • Ensure compliance with state, local, and regulatory agencies as they relate to Food Service
  • Manage the entire kitchen in the Executive Chef’s absence
  • The sous chef could be the last line of defense to make sure each piece of food is safe, prepared correctly and tasty.
