POSITION SUMMARY:
· In conjunction with the Head Chef, responsible for day to day running of the kitchen.
· Prepare/cook food to order and work with FOH Restaurant Manger to ensure best possible service is provided.
· Responsible for the running of the kitchen and staff in the absence of Head Chef.
SKILLS
ü Ability to multi-task and work autonomously, demonstrating a high level of attention to detail.
ü Ability to work successfully in a high-pressure environment
ü Possess excellent knife skills.
ü Ability to follow instructions from Head Chef or Restaurant Manager
ü Excellent communication and teamwork skills, including being an effective team player.
ü Ability to effectively supervise and lead a team.
ü Ability to follow food standards requirements.
ü Have a willingness to learn new skills.
EXPERIENCE
ü Extensive experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry
QUALIFICATIONS
ü Apprenticeship or Graduate qualifications in Hospitality (Cert III Commercial Cookery) or equivalent substantial experience
ü Food Safe compliance Knowledge and training
