Job Overview:
We are seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food production, and maintaining a positive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Head Chef in menu planning and development
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes
- Assist in inventory control and ordering supplies
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper techniques and procedures
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Support catering events as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
-Do ordering for weekly restaurant usage
- Communicate accordingly with management
Requirements:
- Proven experience in the food industry with a focus on food service management
- Strong leadership skills to effectively manage kitchen operations
- Proficiency in menu planning and execution
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced culinary environment
