Description The Sheraton Eatontown Hotel is seeking a passionate culinary professional to join our award-winning team as a Sous Chef. The role of Sous Chef is responsible for properly preparing food in a timely manner, while maintaining the highest level of health standards. The Sous Chef should be familiar with the day-to-day operations of the hotel’s kitchen which includes cooking for the on-site restaurant, room service, and all hotel functions. Requirements Responsibilities include: Plan, prepare, and cook various items while maintaining high levels of health standards Operate various kitchen equipment such as ovens, fryers, grills, broilers, etc Encourage your team members and contribute to a positive, productive workplace Help ensure compliance with our F&B policies and procedures Be willing to accept constructive feedback and use it as a tool for growth Achieve consistent results while managing demanding deadlines Always strive for exceptional guest service and satisfaction Assist in reviewing and monitoring supplies and inventory Compensation and Benefits include: This position offers a starting wage that ranges from $40k-$50k annually depending on qualifications and experience. Job Qualifications: Time management Ability to work as part of a team ServSafe Certification preferred Excellent communication and organization skills 1 to 2 years of restaurant experience preferred Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time, kneel, squat, bend Ability to lift 20 pounds or more and push/pull 50 pounds or more. Ability to use basic kitchen equipment such as knives, stoves, etc
