JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring that our dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. This position requires a strong understanding of culinary techniques, food safety practices, and the ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in a kitchen environment.
  • Proven leadership abilities with experience in supervising and managing a team.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation of dishes.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring that all team members are performing their duties efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
  • Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in culinary techniques and best practices.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new recipes and improve existing ones.
  • Ensure that all dishes are prepared according to recipes and presented beautifully before serving.
  • Manage kitchen operations during busy periods, ensuring timely service without compromising quality.
